St Andrews BMD 1805-1914 Williamstown Update

Greetings

While Rhoda was reviewing other BMD records which were not part of St Andrews Williamstown she came across two items that required a note, clarification, correction in the recent work we did on  St Andrews BMD 1805-1914  Williamstown http://glengarrycounty.com/standwmst.html

Dunn    Ambrose    Walter    B11    1902    Dec 20     Aug 5 1903    Dunn, Stephen    Rose, Janet Maud32         Char Glen    SAWM

Janet Maud Ross should read Janet Maud Rose.  In the St Andrews Williamstown BMD books I have the name Ross and Rose in some instants have been interchanged. This Stephen Dunn & Janet Maud Rose is one such occurance as the following Ontario Canada Marriage records show
 Ontario, Canada Marriages, 1801 - 1928
Stephen Alex. Dunn, age 33, of Charlottenburgh, born Glengarry, bachelor, farmer, son of Mary Kennedy and Ambrose Dunn married Janet Maude Rose age 21, Spinster, born Glengarry, (Summerstown) daughter of Catherine McDonald and Charles Rose. Witnesses were John Alex’r McDonald, Williamstown and Jossie M. Rose, Summerstown.  Were married 28th Oct 1896 at Summerstown, both the bride and groom are listed as Presbyterian. Married by the Rev. Norman McKay, by License, registration was July 14th, 1897,  #013753.

Ross    Bathia        B4    1849    Aug 5    Mar 12 1850    Ross, Gregor      Kippen, Catharine            SAWM
on this entry Gregor should read George

Kindly make note of this for your files.

This correction, clarification will be included in all future printings of this work.

Thanks you for your continued support

take care and God Bless
